Barcelona Ready for Historic Match at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday
The club confirmed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in La Liga two and a half years since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside under the licence granted. When completed, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.
Stadium Testing
Barcelona held a public practice inside the stadium earlier this month. Officials stated approval is being pursued by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht on 9 December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
