A plane ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the plane's windshield, per an announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The aircraft touched down following standard protocol and all passengers, including Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer commented in a online announcement.

The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to the city of Brussels during the flight.

This event is not the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a high-ranking official has suffered mechanical issues.

Earlier this year, a American military jet transporting the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was forced to return to Washington after experiencing a mechanical problem.
