The rising star maintains considerable online audience
Kai Trump can count on multiple well-known backers as she makes her professional golf debut this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is connected to Donald Trump, obtained a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika competition in Florida.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, possesses multiple golf courses and regularly matches against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we play competitive games," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"He practically told me to compete and relax," she added.
"To me, he's just a regular grandfather. He won't be there this weekend. He's busy with presidential duties, so he's rather occupied."
While still amateur, the golfer has participated in a mere three competitions recently and maintains position 461 in AJGA listings.
However she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He stands as the greatest golfer worldwide," Kai stated.
"And he's an even better person. He told me to go out there, enjoy myself, adapting to whatever happens."
Kai will face some of most prominent players in the sport at the Annika, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
The LPGA commented that involving Kai helps introduce golf to new audiences, particularly among youth audiences.
Kai boasts millions of followers and has started an exclusive apparel and wellness brand.
The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
